Your hammy doesn't look like she's feeling good in general, probably from smoke, unless it's coincidence

Hope the vet can diagnose & treat speedily. Hope she makes a full recovery from whatever is wrong xx

I can't help much I'm afraid. Hopefully one of the senior members can offer something soon.

Is she eating, drinking urinating etc (as normal)? Have you noticed any changes in general to her behaviour? Hopefully all Is well on that front.

Definitely get her to the vets as soon as you possibly can.

Luckily she is all speedy, food fixated and full of kisses as usual.

I am considering using some room temperature chamomille tea on her eye. We used to do that with kittens if they developed infections when they started opening their eyes, but don't know if it is different with hamsters..?

I have no idea I'm afraid. I'd certainly throw caution to the wind in using home made treatments on your hamster. I would only use it in emergency or I couldn't get my pet to the vets within a few hours, but based on her current condition, she should be ok till tomorrow. Did you say you could get her to the vets tomorrow? Have you used the vet you are going to in the past?

Oh and obviously monitor as often as you can, hopefully she doesn't scratch at the affected area to aggregate it further
