Default Hairloss

I discovered this today. It seems fairly symmetrical, doesn't seem red or irritated and he doesn't seem bothered.
Should I be worried and rush to the vet or is it okay to just see how it develops, as long as he doesn't seem bothered?

Looks to me like the result of some over zealous scent gland grooming, so I wouldn't worry particularly myself. If it starts to get a lot bigger then a vet trip might be in order.

Got a better picture, it doesn't seem to be the gland to me.

I see. Is this Romeo? From the pictures Ive seen of him, he seems to have some hair loss on his tummy too, so it could just be age, or something that he is prone to. You could maybe try feeding him evening primrose oil and flax seeds for his fur, if you don't already.

Yes, it is Romeo. I haven't thought of his tummy as hairless. I'll have to have a closer look.
We have flaxseed, they're just stored in another room, so I tend to forget to give him some. I'll try to remember to give him more of them.

I just remembered that picture of him on his back eating cheese. The fur looked quite sparse on his tummy, but that could have been a trick of the light. He is still a very handsome boy!

I'll check it once he's had a good nap. He has been taken out a lot today.
