Default Strange dark spots

Hello just thought I'd ask a quick question about one of my beautiful rescue hams named Beau.

He's a very happy and energetic hamster who eats well and shows no sign of illness however as he is ageing his fur has thinned out and I have noticed some patches of dark pigment in his skin. It does not bother him to touch and they are not raised at all. He does have freckles on his ears so I was wondering of this could just be his normal skin pigment or if I am right to be concerned. The skin is not dry and there are no signs of irritation.
I will make an appointment with my vet but exotic vets are limited by me and they are very busy at the moment so i was just looking for opinions.
It really doesn't seem to bother him but I am a bit of a worrier when it comes to my hammys.

Thank you for taking time to read this ☺

Hi, I'm not an expert but hopefully someone here will know what to do.
The photos just look like a very handsome little chap to my untrained eye, so I'm sure he's fine - but of course do get a vet or vet nurse to take a look as soon as you can, to make sure. He's not scratching or licking it? I'm sure someone else will come along with more useful information, meanwhile good luck and fingers crossed for you both x

As far as I can see from the photos it just looks like normal skin pigmentation.
Thinning fur is normal in older hams but you can try giving some extra flax (linseed) to help keep up condition.
