Does he bottle spout chew by any chance? If he does that needs to stop as he will be taking in too much water and it upsets their body chemistry. If in doubt take the bottle off and use a small bowl of water for a couple of weeks and see if matters improve.

My Duncan is definitely guilty of this. Would you recommend I take his bottle out?

The glucose in hammys urine fluctuates throughout the day and night. One reading isn't enough. Try a few more times at various times of the mornings/day/evenings. Hope this helps?
