Looking at him now, you wouldn't guess what he's been through. He's looking so well.

Re: Hamster mouth tumor or abscess please help
Thank you all. Update on Ginger: I know its been a while... my little hamster is still going strong. His wounds have fully healed and you cannot even tell that he has been through such horrible experience. Bought him a new wheel and he ran on it ocassionally for a few days but then he decided instead of chewing it like he normally does... he wanted to sleep in it instead haha! Im more happy with this decision anyways he eats and drinks normally. When i bought him the lady said he was about 12 weeks old so if she is correct Ginger is now 2 years and a month! Cant believe he is so strong, so proud of him!

Happy belated birthday to Ginger. He certainly has been through a lot, but it's brilliant that he is so well now

Re: Hamster mouth tumor or abscess please help
I've only just caught up on this thread! What an amazing story and Ginger looks very good for two years and one month. Well done that vet. What wheel did you get? Our last hammy kept using his wheel right up to 2 years and nearly 8 months and only stopped in his last couple of weeks.
