Re: Hamster mouth tumor or abscess please help
I know, he was really lovely I was lucky to find him because every other vet I saw told me there was nothing they could do. She is still refusing to eat I have tried different baby foods and she doesnt even want to go near it... I think she might be in a lot of pain at the moment as it was quite a large tumour.. the noises she makes worry me a little bit but I guess I need to let her recover.

Re: Hamster mouth tumor or abscess please help
You could use a syringe for the babyfood.
Leave a piece of apple or cucumber in his cage to ensure he's kept hydrated.
Phone the vet let him know Ginger's still not eating. He'll be able to put your mind at rest.
Are you using a syringe for his baytril?

Yes I am using a syringe for Baytril but its so small I dont know if the texture of his baby food will work with it. I have a check up with him at the vets on Wednesday, I will try to feed him myself and keep him hydrated until then x

Re: Hamster mouth tumor or abscess please help
I just tried to feed him with the syringe! It worked, also gave him a little bit of water with it. He just wants to rest so I will leave him to it. I also put a slice of apple in there like you suggested

Re: Hamster mouth tumor or abscess please help
Try to be careful not to push the syringe down his throat as it could go directly into his lungs. Try pushing it to his other cheek pouch xx

Re: Hamster mouth tumor or abscess please help
Which vet did you go to in London? Was it CJ Hall by any chance. Interested as I am in London too. Whoever it was , I am glad he has a chance and hope he recovers well.
