Name of potential internal illness relating to eyes.
Hello everyone, so I had to take my little man to the vets yesterday. It wasnt good. Basically, his eye has gone a grey colour and has kind of come out a little, it looks thinner as it comes out. He is on antibiotics and the vet said she was concerned that it could be something internally. She said the name of something but she had a little bit of an accent and it wasnt until i left i realised i didnt understand the name of the thing she was referring to. I was hoping someone one here could have some idea of what its called. Thank you.
P.s. there is a chance I wont be able to respond but will be extremely greatful for any answers, please help!

Hi, I think it could be that, I Google it and the first image looks like his. It also says that It isn't fatal which is relieving. Can u confirm this by any chance? Thank you,

Re: Name of potential internal illness relating to eyes.
Can you phone the vet and ask her your questions? Since you've recently been there the vet should call you back imo. It seems strange on how his eye thins out as it protrudes? But as long as the vet didn't think it was a problem then go with that.
Btw, did you take him to an exotic vet or a small animal vet? That could be part of the problem? Glaucoma isn't fatal in and of itself from what I've heard from You Tube hamster channels especially Kimmie Green 17. Her hamster Ariel has glaucoma without any problems.

I took him to a normal vet, she had to speak to someone else who was more specialised
