Sexing my little ones!

Hello community!

I have 4 Russian Dwarf hamsters, aged 7 weeks. I owned them as a child, and am so pleased to be a proud owner again. I spend a lot of time taming them, and making slow but steady progress.

I do. however, have a health issue. I was sold these chaps as little boys - but I'm starting to have some doubts. Of course, I don't mind if they are all girls, but if there's a mixture there could be trouble ahead!

I attached a picture of Crunch's no-no bits, as an example.

Am I going crazy, or is he a she?

I have a vets appointment booked to clear this up, but wondered if you had any thoughts.

Thanks for the reply.

They are quite a bit older now, and I can't see any nipples.

I kind of settled on them being male, because Pablo has a white belly and appears to have a scent gland. Their genitals all look very similar, so I assumed they'd all be the same - I've never spied a scent gland on any of the others, though...

It's kind of a moot point now though - they didn't get on very well living together, so they all have their own places to live! No babies to worry about

Haha okay, so they're probably all girls! Thanks again for your help. It's going to be tricky to change how we talk about them considering they are nearly a year old...
