Default Balding hamster - possible cushings?

Hi all

Looking for some advice for my Syrian, Elsa. Recently she's started losing fur in a symmetrical nature. It started on her hind legs and rump area and has now progressed to her stomach and is working its way up her back. I first noticed the fur loss in late April, when she was exactly 1 year old. She's been to the vet two weeks a go who admitted he wasn't very experienced with hamsters but has prescribed some spot on treatment for demodex. She's still in the middle of treatment but her fur loss has continued. She isn't displaying any other symptoms currently - no increase in thirst or appetite e.g.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
