Default Help with sick hamster (possible stroke)

My Syrian hamster is breathing very fast and can't seem to walk. I suspect a stroke but I can't be sure. Obviously I will take her to a vet as soon as I can, but it's almost midnight right now so I can't until morning. Is there anything I can do for her until then to help her get through the night? I really don't want to lose her.

Is she shaking at all? Does she feel cold? Check to see if she's dehydrated by pinching the skin gently. If it takes any longer than a second to return to normal, she's dehydrated and need rehydration fluids

Rehydration formula
Salt (¼ tsp)
Sugar (¾ tbsp)
Water (1 cup)

Offer this via syringe through the SIDE of the mouth. If she's cold, adding a heat pad on low over a portion of the cage (make sure it's underneath and on the outside) may help. Keep her comfortable and warm until you can get her to the vet. Good luck, hope she is able to hang on X

She does feel a bit cold and she shakes when she tries to move. I don't think she is dehydrated.

It does sound like a stroke to me
Try adding a heat pad on low and keeping her warm and comfortable. Since she's not dehydrated you won't have to offer the formula. However, she will have trouble drinking. Try offering her bottle to her throughout the night, and if she's not drinking, you'll have to offer it yourself. It's the same method as above, syringe it into the side of the mouth. Try calling around and seeing if anyone can fit you in sooner, I had a hamster have a stroke late at night, and I waited just a little too long and unfortunately because of that, she didn't make it through the night. If you can't get her in, just try your best to keep her comfy. Hoping for you that she hangs on XX
