Default Hamster, jerky bouncing, wheezing, and squeaking.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on my Russian Dwarf hamster Mocha, who is acting very strange. She is about 22 months, and since yesterday she has been shaking with jerky movements, clicking, wheezing, and squeaking. Normally she is very friendly, always coming up to the cage to greet me, but now she is hiding at the back of her cage. If anyone has any advise, I would really appreciate it!

It sounds like a trip to the vet might be the best idea.

Is she eating and drinking ok?

It does sound like she isn't well or could be in pain. It sounds like it has stopped now if she is hiding at the back of the cage, but that might mean she is still not feeling well or in pain, so as Boris Pasha says, it could be a good idea to take her to the vet.

I'd agree with the others that she needs to see a vet as soon as possible, she's obviously unwell & may be in pain.
Good luck with her, hope the vet can help her get better soon.
