Intestines hanging out of hamsters butt???????

So I just got this hamster a few weeks ago from my local pet store.Last night he/she ( I do not know the gender. Pretty sure it is a girl?) was fine and when I woke up this morning my hamster had blood all over the cage and its fur and had something hanging from its butt. Here are images. Please help IDK what is happening and what it is.

I've moved the images into the moderator section as they were quite graphic any may upset some members, but you need to get your hammy to a vet immediately- I'm no expert but I think it's some sort of prolapse and needs vet attention urgently.

Oh, no! I am terribly SORRY! I hope that the vet can do something for the sweetie. I will definitely being praying with all of my heart that it is not too late. Fingers crossed for you both.

It looks to be a very serious rectal prolapse. You must see a vet with your hammy as an emergency as it will be very painful and i would prepare yourself for the worst.
You may need to make a choice of peaceful rest for this little one I'm afraid. I hope his path is gentle xx

Obviously I cannot see the photos, but from your description I would agree that it sounds like a rectal prolapse

It's critical he gets to a vet to see if he can be helped as unfortunately this tends to be very serious and sometimes ends unwell. Hope everything is okay, let us know how things go

So sorry this has happened to your ham jsandlin03, it must have been a real shock & having had experience with this I know the prognosis is not good, hope you can get her to the vet quickly.

I am so sorry. Do let us know how you got on. I think he may have had to be helped on his way by the vet due to the degree of seriousness of the prolapse and to avoid suffering. Sometimes this kind of thing is just very bad luck if the hammy had a genetic condition unknown. Sometimes it can be they have eaten something that has caused a blockage. Fluffy bedding can cause that kind of thing I believe (any bedding that is not paper and is fluffy) - it's very dangerous stuff.
