Wet neck?
Hamster #2 seems to have decided her sister is getting far too much attention and has given me a problem all of her own.
I picked her out of the cage earlier tonight and she looked fine, I took her downstairs to play and she was happily running around on my lap and climbing my jumper, then for some reason she squeaked and started rubbing her neck area on my leg, I picked her up and her neck/chin are soaking wet. It's the first time I've seen this and when I placed her back in her cage she's going mental trying to dry herself in her sand bath.
What would cause her to get that wet that fast?
She is 6 months old and a big chewer.

Re: Wet neck?
Check her teeth. She may have a problem with them. Big Chewer + Wet Chin sounds like a tooth issue to me. The wetness may be from dribbling which is usually caused by a tooth issue.

Re: Wet neck?
I've found that hams with wet chins and necks tend to be water bottle chewers. Especially long haired hams will have wet fur around their faces after taking a drink. Lilac has a point though too, it could be a tooth issue so check her teeth, and see if she's eating. Watch her drinking tonight and see if her fur gets noticeably wetter after, and see if the bottle is dripping
