Default Loss of fur on the bridge of the nose. Help please!

Hello! Our hamster Coco has lost some fur on the bridge of his nose. I would like to think that is probably due to rubbing against the cage when he bites the bars but we are beginners so I am not sure. Has somebody have any advice, or should I be worried and take him to the vets? He is OK with his behavior, usual self and nothing has changed in his diet. Thanks!

Unless they start scratching at it or it becomes a small cut then I wouldn't worry about it, its definitely just from chewing the bars and rubbing hair off. Just be careful hammy doesn't get too obsessed with chewing the bars and damage teeth

Thank you! I normally wake up -because he definitely manage to wake me up- and ask him several times not do that ). It seems to work but I am not sure if he wakes up during the day and do the same. Thanks! I will keep an eye

They can hurt themselves by chewing the bars so it's best to try to put a stop to it if you can, not rewarding it with attention can help, putting cardboard through the bars if he chews in one particular spot is also good.
Plenty of enrichment in the cage often resolves the problem.
There's a thread here for some ideas.
