Cage wash
Hey hamster peeps
So a few weeks ago I was cleaning out peanuts 40 gallon tank
And my dad told me to use soap ( I don't think it was dish washer soap it was in a bottle tho ) I mixed it with water and washed her tank
But then I thought
What if this smell is to strong for her ?
She's totally ok and a healthy hammy
But for next time
Is it ok to use soap ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Cage wash
Soap isn't necessary.Vinegar diluted with water is much safer,as long as you wipe it out thoroughly and let it air out as well. This barely ever needs to be done though, only in a situation where a hamster passes or gets ill.For a routine cleaning at most hot water is just fine
