Robo Hamster help!
Good evening all!
Yesterday I adopted a little robo hamster from my local pet shop (Pets At Home) He was in the support pets for adoption section. He had been there a good few weeks as he was attacked by the other hamsters in his litter.
He is a gorgeous little beauty, but I have never had a robo before! I currently have a Russian Dwarf, Pepper, who is a year and a bit old.
I know that Russian's and Robos are completely different, but I have found that my little robo gets extremely tired after doing anything. He'll have a "mad half hour" and then start falling asleep wherever he is stood. Whilst he is so, so, cute, I am worried that his lethargy is something I should be worried about. He keeps curling up and sleeping out in the open, all over his cage!
Is this normal behaviour for a robo?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Robo Hamster help!
I have a little female robo and she also sleeps anywhere she finds comfy including out in the open. Especially after rolling in her ball. As long as he's not sleeping every second and does have some energy he should be fine. If he was sleeping all day and doing nothing I would take him to the vet.

Re: Robo Hamster help!
Congrats on your new robo & well done for giving him a good home
Do you know how old he is? It's not unusual for young hams to have crazy energetic spells then just zonk out on the spot! Especially when there are lots of new things to explore & enjoy.
If he seems healthy otherwise I don't think you have cause for concern.
