Default Is this normal?

Just seen the back of Sweep's ears look pink ... I've not noticed it like this before and wondered if it's normal?

Looks normal to me. Lighter coloured animals (this applies to my guinea pig, Toffee) generally will have pink ears or noses where they would otherwise have a light pigmented fur, like Sweep.

I hope I worded that ok as it is a bit confusing to explain.

Unless his ears looks particularly red, sore or inflamed, there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

If you're still unsure, go back and look at some old photos of him, and you might realise he's had it all along. If not, it could be a concern or just simply a colour change.

I'll attach a photo of Jasper so you can see how his ears are quite pink and a photo of my guinea pig, Toffee, who showcases it better.

Thanks. Have been looking atphotos and in some the insides and backs of his ears this pink and in others they're not?! In those ones you see a very small amount of pink but mostly black ... I'm very confused!!

Could it be seasonal? Or something to do with his coat colour just changing over time?

It looks fairly normal to me pinkneon, looking back at photos can be a bit misleading sometimes as the light & colour isn't always the same but most hams have thinner fur behind the ears, it doesn't look like anything to worry about at the moment, if it gets thinner or a larger pink patch appears or he scratches his ears a lot it might be that there's a problem.
