Default Fluffy hammie poorly

Hey everyone.

Wanted to share how im feeling.

I've got two hammies and one of them has had an ear tumor since a few months ago.
Went to the vet who confirmed it was a growth and she wasnt in pain so we took her home, she is her normal naughty hammie self.
I just found a second tumour on her belly today. Huge red growth and I'm starting to feel sad as I don't think she will last long. She's only 10 months old.

Just wanted to share as I love my hammies, I've owned many and even though they only have small life spans, they are my fluffy babies

feeling sad

Something to remember is that it might be the kind of tumor which isn't causing any health problems.Benign,I believe,is the proper term for that!

I've heard of hamsters living a relatively normal life despite having growths if they are benign,so really the best thing to do is get it checked to make sure it isn't life threatening and then go from there but do not panic as it isn't necessarily a death sentence just yet!

I've heard of hams getting benign growths as ry age and it isn't unusual but this usually appears in older hams so it may be worth taking the ham to the vet about it.

Best wishes for you and your ham

I hope the tumors are benign and keep us posted.

Really sorry to hear about your ham, she does look like a lovely girl & I can imagine how you must feel having found the second tumour, it's never easy dealing with health problems but even harder in one so young, I hope she can continue to live a happy pain free life with you for some time yet.
