Question Missing fur or not? And nails

I just noticed Sweep's fur like this. From the pictures the area (around his scent gland) looks wet, as though he may have been scent marking or something. BUT, it isn't wet to touch, the fur feels a little thinner, looks a LOT thinner, and it's only on one side ... Is this anything to be worried about, or is it just him cleaning there / scent marking??

Also, are his nails too long? See last pic ...

He's just producing a lot of scent. It tends to look like that when they do it, and it can feel kind of greasy. Hamster fur is very fine, so having it all clumped together like that could be why it feels thin.

His nails are tiny.

Ok
The very last nail looks like it is curling round? Or is it just me?

His nails look fine He's maybe scent marking more because he's had a couple of changes. He went to a different cage, and has now come back to his old cage with new smells in. I'm guessing he's back! I'm sure he'll settle in soon, but he must be a bit disorientated - he'll maybe need 2 or 3 days to feel at home again.

Nails are fine and he is over scenting because of the cage changes and maybe a clean out? Once it smells like him again he should be less greasy over his scent glands. Don't clean him for a while as it can be stressful for him.
