Default loss of fur

Hi, I went to vets a while ago with my Syrian losing fur at the back, and they said its nothing, but hes losing more and more anyone known if it is or not anything to be worried about?
Pictures Attached, not brilliant as he likes to run everywhere..

How old is your hamster? Lots of animals can get hair loss/thinning in their old age. hamsters included.

I agree if he is getting older now that could be the reason & it's not uncommon but it also looks like he may have been rubbing against something, maybe got into a habit of rubbing/scenting something that could be causing him to lose fur in that area.
