Hello all,
I recently adopted a little Syrian boy who the vet suspects has neurological problems (or possibly a brain tumour). Nanuq is otherwise healthy, happy, and active--if a bit clumsy.
I was hoping to read about anybody else's experience of hammies with neurological problems and what worked best for them. Obviously no heights (for Nanuq anyway) but the best toys, environment, etc that you found worked best for yours. And did you handle your special needs hammies much or keep handling to a minimum? Have they lived long otherwise-normal lives or did they need lots of special care and have a shorter lifespan?
I realise that all hammies are individual and unique and what works for one hammy may not work for everyone but it's nice to read about similar cases and get ideas.
