Hamster eye infection?

Hello, I've noticed that my dwarf hamster has hair missing around one of her eyes, it's like it's scratched, and there's redness around her eye.

I use Marltons compressed shavings for her bedding. She is a year and a half old, bought December 2014. It's only around one of her eyes.

Is this an infection or old age? What do I do to treat it?

I've attatched two pictures. I'm on my phone so I don't know how big the photo is on a computer, sorry. Looks pretty small too me though.

That looks quite painful, I would get her to the vet as soon as you can.
