Is this a bite mark?
I recently cleaned Pixie & Tinkerbell's cages and added a load more bedding after I saw Erin's Billy Cage clean video, I realised my two barely had any bedding, so I put a load more in, I got Tinkerbell out for her play pen time today & noticed a mark on her head behind her ear, I'm not sure if it's a bite mark from Pixie (haven't noticed an escape attempt, but she sure did try when I put her back in after the clean). Not sure if she's escaped, got into Tinkerbell's cage and then found a way home (although, I wouldn't put it past her, they are very clever little furries!) There's a couple pictures below, they're not very clear because Tinkerbell doesn't like sitting still.
If it doesn't look like a hamster bite what could it be? I've checked everything in her cage and there's nothing with blood on it nor is anything really sharp that I worry could have taken fur and skin off.
It's not a deep cut but it's certainly something that's sparked concern. Pixie hasn't got any marks or anything on her and she has been found in Tinkerbell's cage once before today having attacked her.
I've got a cup of boiled salt water cooling down so I can bath the wound so it stays clean, I just hope Tinkerbell doesn't hate me for it =/

Re: Is this a bite mark?
It does appear to be a bite to me. Bathe it and keep a close eye on it for any swelling or pus oozing out and see a vet if it does otherwise it should heal in about 10 days. Make sure they don't get together again will you as things could be much worse if they have a serious fight.

Re: Is this a bite mark?
I've taken bedding out of both cages, had another rearrange (they're both gonna hate me =/) & ensured there is definitely no way out, looking into different cages now, these ones just cause me panic 24/7 and with this being the (potential) second mark off Pixie I'd rather just have proper cages for them both, yes these ones are the more practical for me and my every day needs but their safety is my priority. My friends let me down with the lids and I'm in no position to do them myself so I'll have to come up with a plan B.
I've tried to bathe it, it's like hard scabbed over on top, so it's been done in the past day or so, I have them out nightly for play pen and didn't see it last night so it's pretty recent, but not so recent it's had time to scab over. I'll bathe it nightly until it's healed anyway, not that Tinkerbell likes me much for doing it tonight =/
I'll be checking on her multiple times a day when she's up and about to make sure it's not got any worse.
Thanks for such a prompt reply, Souffle, I've been pulling my hair out since I saw it.
