Default Stressful Health Checks

Is there any way to make health checks less stressful for them? Pippa squirms A LOT and doesn't let me check her over, especially when it comes to checking her teeth. As a result I am struggling for ages trying to check for anything unusual, and Pippa gets more and more frustrated.
Any advice?

Could you feed her treats to distract her? I don't know how often your checking her teeth but as long as she has plenty of chews you shouldn't have to check her teeth too often I wouldn't think

You can do quite a good health check just holding your ham in your hands & gently stroking & feeling them but teeth checks do require scruffing so you need to be sure you're doing that correctly, if done the right way it doesn't really stress them & can be very brief so it's all over & done really quickly.
A little treat after usually takes their mind off it completely!
