Hamster Tumor?

Hi! I can't tell if my hamster has an impacted cheek pouch or if its a tumor. She's a robo and 2 and a half years old, her name is Cake. It practically popped up over night! It is kind of squishy but if you touch it, it feels like it would explode. Its right under her eye (Shes blind in that eye and has been for a few months now), its red/purple, theres no heat coming from it, and doesn't really move much. The vet said if its a tumor she would be okay living with it for the rest of her life as long as her quality of life doesn't go down. I thought it was a tumor but I'm not really sure anymore. I'm going to give the vet another call and see what they say. I had to put down Cake's sister Fiona in February because she had a tumor on her butt that ruptured and had become a huge hole that she picked at causing it to become infected. I tried cleaning it until I was able to get her into the vet but she picked it really badly every time I cleaned it making it worse. Fiona's tumor happened the same way Cake's is happening as well.
How do I know if its a tumor or impacted? I do have pictures.

If it doesn't go I would take her into the vet, if it is an impacted pouch the vet should be able to remove it easily, I had that problem with one of mine & couldn't get it out but the vet did it with ease!
Best to know what you're dealing with rather than guessing anyway & the vet can't really help much without seeing her.
