Help, please he may pass tonight
I may need some support here, I'm having a hard time with this. I know it's sudden, but today I found cujo, his back end in his wheel ( ya know cause he usually sits in his wheel and dozes and sleeps,) his head and front paws out on his bedding, his back twisted, his paws in the air. His eyes half mast, his breathing very short and quick, then suddenly, nonexistent, very slow and shallow, he was very still, his paws almost colorless. His water intake has about tripled, his urine has become strong, he squints all the time now I know he's fat, his abscess has doubled in size, possibly more, and he's very slow about doing things. His eating habits have pretty much ground to a halt. He dent look good, his fur looks greasy, he's got some discharge coming from his eyes. Ryan said we will take him to the vet once he gets his paycheck in. The vet has told me she can do surgery, but I also have to debate his age. He's over a year old, putting him under could kill him, the stress of surgery, then right after that a big move, I don't know if putting him down peacefully is a good option. I'm gonna be honest, I'm sad and I'm scared, as I type, cujo is now drinking away at his water bottle. He didn't get like this till we started the medication for the abscess he's had all this time, should I stop the meds? I'm unsure how to proceed.....please help. I'm almost sure he's got diabetes. I've read the sticky and know all about the diabetes which is what I've been trying to avoid since the day I got him.
I'm terrified he's going to pass tonight. That's how sudden things have changed
