Vaginal Bleeding? Help?

Recently I've not been able to spend much time with my hamsters due to college & my rabbits but i got Hurricane out tonight for a quick cuddle & health check and noticed blood around her vaginal region. I cleaned it briefly with some warm water & have removed her wheel from her cage as well as any wooden toys, i also put lots of toilet roll down. The blood I've seen seemed to come out in biggish blobs & she's leaving some blood trails on the toilet paper in her cage. She also seems to have lost a lot of weight and i can kinda feel her backbone when i stroke her. I made her some porridge in case she can't/wont eat her normal food.

i feel really bad right now because i haven't been giving them the attention they deserve and I can't get to a vet right now as its 11pm here and my parents are out but will be getting her an appointment for tomorrow hopefully but is there anything i should be doing tonight to keep her comfortable?

I had a RCD hammie bleeding as well, turned out it was a tumor on her uterus. It was operable but vet decided not to risk it because of her age & other health problems she had. Her bleeding wasn't clotting though, but she was definitely leaving a blood trail. She's still alive months later, she still has good quality of life.

It sounds as though you've done what you can for now, there could be a few different reasons she's bleeding so just keep her quiet & comfortable until you can get to the vet.
Good luck with her, I really hope it's something they can treat easily.

It needs a vet diagnosis and might need some treatment

Hope she is ok. I can sometimes feel Charlie's backbone as well and worry sometimes, but he is a healthy weight and sometimes it's just the way he is sitting.

Thanks for the replies everyone, her vet appointment was at half 1 & the ver has given me some antibiotics to give her for a week incase its an infection & she'll need to go back if she stops eating or the discharge/blood gets worse. Should i keep her wheel out for a few days or give it her back?

I'd give it back unless vet says otherwise, would make her happy!

I don't see why she shouldn't have the wheel either tbh, if she's not up to using it she won't but if she does it shouldn't do any harm.
Hope she gets better soon.
