Thanks again guys ! I'm glad I'm not the only one who made the mistake, haha, and that you're all sharing your stories with me !
And yeah, of course as they say, "better safe than sorry" so I'll make sure to ask all the questions I need to ask for my peace of mind and more. XD And again I'm very glad I joined this forum, you guys are all always so nice and helpful I feel much more at ease knowing I'm not helpless taking care of little Pêche !

Also I'd really love to write an answer to your posts on the taming thread but it's already pretty late and I need some sleep. ^^' Hopefully tomorrow I have more time ! See you guys !!

definitely no such thing as a silly question! My hammie willow used to scent a lot when she was getting used to a change, she used to rub her sides so hard against everything that she rubbed her fur thin, it may be why you can suddenly see his scent glands more clearly. He is still stressed and settling himself in, if I were you I'd pretend he's not there and just mutter to yourself when you're near his cage so he gets used to your voice. Keep putting tissues in and occasionally drop something tasty through his bars. That will do till he relaxes. He won't scent mark all the time when he feels at home so you'll know when that is. If he scents too much he could make his scent glands sore, they will smell nasty rather than just musky if that happens, you will easily tell the difference. If that happens don't panic but make sure he has plenty of dry tissue to lie in so he doesn't get anything nasty in them.

Sorry for the delayed reply, I went down with a pretty bad cold and I'm still recovering actually... But thank you for the taming tips ! ^^ I'm sure it'll prove to be very useful, however... *sigh* I've got another problem with Pêche and this time I doubt it's overreacting... So I'll make a new thread because this isn't really in relation to this one. ^^'

Mocha the only stupid question is one not asked which needs asking
Another reason Peche's scent glands are so noticeable is he is a Satin coat which is caused by the Satin gene and makes all his hair follicles hollow which really really makes the hair look wet when the hamster cleans them.
