Re: willow very poorly
Thank you cypher. I've just talked to the receptionist who is a really nice lady and decided to book her in for 4.30 today. She had a 12.00 appointment too but I don't want to rush things, i'll be back home by 4 and can check how she's been before I take her. She always had such a lot of life in her, and determination, perhaps that's why she hasn't slipped away yet. Giving her some more bean sprouts just in case!

Re: willow very poorly
That sounds like a good plan.
It is amazing how they hang on, I spent most of a day with Zephyr thinking she would go any minute, not wanting to be without her but not wanting her to suffer a moment longer than she had to so I understand how you must feel, you are giving her such wonderful love & care right now, I hope she gets to enjoy a few more bean sprouts.
Hugs to both of you.

Re: willow very poorly
Thanks for hug and understanding. Shee got up to the loo when she heard my voice just now and astonished me by taking 3 more beansprouts from my fingers and a piece of cucumber. She then pouched the last 2 halves of a beansprout and took it back into her pot. For a couple of moments I saw the old willow as she tugged it impatiently out of my hand. She chattered her teeth at me last night as well when I took her levels out so she couldn't get confused and climb and fall and I bumped one against her pot and disturbed her. She's now curled up with her nose tucked under in her pot which is a fav position of hers and I prefer to see hs like that rather than flat on her side which isn't normal for her.

Re: willow very poorly
Hi guys. Just to let u know, willow was pts and died peacefully this afternoon. It was the nice vet who we had seen before and she felt it would be for the best not to let her linger. She looked a poor little scrap on the table and it didn't take me long to agree with the decision and let her go. She had eaten some ground rice that I made for her this morning and a bit of grated carrot but overall her weight had dropped to 140g and she was weak and wobbly. I think it was her time. Very sad! She had a little wash on the vet's table and ran to my arms for security which is a comfort at the mo. I am relieved to see her looking so peaceful now.

Re: willow very poorly
Thank you Hamster P. I feel so tired and awful now but it helps to know she's at peace now and not struggling any more.

Re: willow very poorly
Thank u coco n FF. It really helps to tell u guys. Willow was such a challenge and needed so much of my time, it feels so weird sitting here without her. I keep thinking 'i must go and let her out' and then remember she's not here any more.
