Thank you everybody for sending good luck and get well wishes. Holly died during surgery. On a lighter note, Kaisha has given birth and I am looking forward to seeing how many pups she had. A bitter sweet time really.

Oh Zak, I am so sorry for your loss of Holly. When you are able can we learn what this was? Not only will it be and informative post, but can perhaps aid others on what to look for and see how important it is to not delay Vet care.
You went as fast as you could with Holly to get her Vet help. Obviously the swelling and discharge was a ER needed situation, and you and the Vet had belief she was strong enough to under go immediate Emergency surgery to attempt to save her life. You did everything you could for her.

Holly is now at peace and you have the new family to try to fill big paw prints left for them by Holly. "HUGS" to you and your family while mourning the loss of a beloved Pet.
RIP(Run In Peace) sweet Holly all young and made perfect at Rainbow Bridge.

She did have pyrometra. Holly was obviously too precious for this world hence why she left with the angels who were sent to come and collect her.
