Re: The unstoppable bar chewer?
It could be a habit - sometimes it is to do with cage size, wheel size and layout. Glad it seems to have improved. Is his wheel big enough?

Re: The unstoppable bar chewer?
It is an 8 inch comfort wheel. I think her wheel may have been broken. So I gave her a "bath session" by putting her wheel, food, and a hideout in the tub and let her play for maybe a half hour, and in this time she realized her wheel was a wheel.( also I put towels over the drain so she couldn't slip out. I have a strainer in but you can never be too safe. also don't worry, no water was involved.)

Re: The unstoppable bar chewer?
Excellent news. Sounds like you have got her out of the habit by changing her routine, which is good. Maybe she just wants regular out of cage time. It's a good idea to get them out every day really. I had a playpen set up round the cage for a while and just left the cage door open so Charlie could go in and out when he wanted, but even our tall playpen wasn't completely escape-proof, so it's best done at a time when you're there to supervise and keep an eye on her. I stopped bothering with the playpen when it got colder as he seems to stay in his house more in winter, but still get him out every evening, even if it's just for 10 minutes for a nap on the sofa

Re: The unstoppable bar chewer?
I have gotten her out every day since I got her, except the first few days, and that is why I was desperate for help.I normaly just sit down with her or let her run around me though. no matter what I did she wouldn't stop chewing, but that is the past.
