Default syrian with a tumour

My year and a half old Syrian has suddenly got a massive black growth coming from her ear, I will be taking her to the vet to get it checked out on Saturday but is there anything that can actually be done? She seems normal, her mood hasn't changed and she's still eating and drinking, but as its her ear I'm worried it will affect her balance.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Best advice is just to make sure she keeps eating a drinking and stays warm, make an appointment and take her to the vet as soon as possible, earlier than Saturday would be fantastic. I don't know what the treatment is for a growth on the ear but it's likely she'll be given some strong painkillers and possibly antibiotics if it's infected.

Like Pygmypuff said, keeping an eye on your hammy's ear and ensure she's eating and drinking. If you could get an earlier vet appt, that would ease your mind.

Hi. As suggested, definitely see a vet about this for a professional diagnosis and possible treatment. growths inside the ear usually start small and grow larger but they still require treating or removing depending on what the growth is. It`s better to go now as leave this because if it does grow larger it could have a blood supply and cause pain and her health worsening so good on you for booking the vet visit. Let us know how it goes, good luck and hope the outcome is positive. x
