I did send out a letter to a potential breeder but don't know if they are still in the area or are breeding anymore. The ad may have been a year old so I'm not getting my hopes up.
Yea..I think the same way about robo's that they live a long time too...

If you have to resort back to a pet store the Pet Supplies Plus in Niagra Falls NY is where I met up with Hekomi and they have private breeders supply their Hamsters and even give a free Vet check up certificate that you are allowed to have your newly purchased pet see a vet within 5 days to be sure your new pet is healthy.
ALL their hamsters were lovely and yes Hekomi and I did enjoy a cuddle with them all and one Black Torty girl sorta managed to hitch a ride home with me Back then LOL. Breeder bred is always best though as you can often meet the parents and see how well the breeder tends their hamsters.

Do you have the phone number or address of that Pet Supplies Plus store? My local stores don't know about stores near Canada. I found a store with a 14301 area code but no address or phone number. There are two bridges into Canada. Thanks any help you can give me cause I'm not making much progress
