Default HELP robo in distress

Thor, one of my wee to go boys is lying on his back kicking his legs frantically. He was squeaking too, something he hasn't done before.
He is about 2 years old, so I thought he'd maybe toppled and couldn't get up but I picked him up and put him down and he just flipped straight over and kept on kicking. All 4 legs pretty equally.
The vet is just round the corner and the travel cage is being fetched as I type. Just hoping someone on here is reading and has any ideas what it could be.

Really sorry to hear about your robo, that must be very distressing.
My first thought would be a seizure of some sort?
As they get older things like seizures & strokes become more common, not really sure what else it may be unless he's fallen & injured himself somehow.
Good luck at the vet, hope they can help.

Poor lad, such a shock to see them like this isn`t it. Thankfully, as you say, he passed on and didn`t linger. Could have been his heart or some kind of seizure. Very sorry for your loss. x

Oh my gosh so sad and sudden did the vet find out what it was? I sadly lost my jasper recently and thinking about taking a break from HC as every time I come on 20 of the 50 updates are hamster memorials Q.Q

Vet suggested it was a seizure... I am literally just around the corner so the lovely vet got a good look at what was going on. He was calming down a bit, but was so obviously in pain and discomfort, the only kind thing was for him to be helped on his way.

I know what you mean marble, its so sad that they're with us for such a short time, its upsetting when they die, but I'm absolutely sure that every hamster makes our hearts that little bit bigger, and I will always remember Thor as the mealworm loving pest. My little buddy.

Hello a small pineapple. I am just so glad for him that you were there for him and he wasn't alone. It does seem that a lot of hammies have gone to the Bridge recently, including one of mine. We have chosen very short lived little furries as pets. But I really wouldn't want to have never had them in my life. Each one has a different personality and each attaches to the heart. I enjoy them immensely. And I adore sharing them with other hammy folk. You will always have your memories of Thor. {hugs} Play well at the Bridge Thor. I hope there's plenty of mealies for you.

So sorry you lost your little one, I too am glad it was over quickly & easily with minimal suffering for him & you were with him till the end but I know how hard it is when they go.
Run free & play well at the bridge little Thor.

Ah, I'm so sorry he died. I'm glad for him it was so quick and he didn't suffer too long. Poor little chap. Awful for you to see it happen but so nice that you were with him at the end. Hugs
