The pet store has informed me that they are going to be treating him twice a day, for 2 weeks with baytril. I can not take him home, since they cant administer the medication, I'm upset because the next two weeks are crucial for taming, as I just got him, but it is what it is
It's hard that he is away from you, but they are treating him and taming can start again when he's home and better and had a few days to settle in again. This will all be like a distant blip
You have to look at the situation CC. He has to be treated with medications that are not easy to administer to some hamsters and it is very important to give the medication at exact times during the day. He needs quite and rest which he will get in the stores back room. You'll need to start over with taming when he comes home but he'll come home all healed and healthy so a small set back in taming is worth it to get him back to good health.
