Is there anything that can be applied to wooden toys to encourage hammys gnaw??

My girl is the same as Ruby's Spike actually, she's guaranteed to shred anything paper or cardboard and she would probably live off Whimzees if I let her. She will chew wood if it's something that's in her way but that's it, she knows it's not food. Shelled nuts are fun and food and really that's the kind of thing their teeth are designed for! You do have to be careful they don't eat a ton of them and get chubby tho.

I have also been told that peanut butter works but it's so so fatty so you're supposed to like rub it in so its more of a peanut butter residue rather than a dollop of peanut butter on the thing.

I haven't tried this myself, but what about pureeing favorite veggies and painting it on the wood toys? I think I saw this on youtube, but I cannot remember who posted the video now.

I have heard of people soaking fruit or veg juice into wood to encourage chewing but my first thought has always been it would probably go mouldy & that you don't want!
