Congrats on the new hamster!

There are some great pictures of rodents mouths in books and on the internet, they can show you what is normal. Rodents naturally have long teeth, but hay, wood blocks, branches, and hard bread can help keep them worn to a healthy level.

Hi Katkin and welcome to HC.
Are you from the UK?
A great thing for keeping their teeth trim is the Antos dog chews, in the USA they're called whimzees .
The crocodile and toothbrush are favourites with mine. Also, Brazil Nuts (an occassional treat) and wooden toys.
P@H sell them.
