That`s good. It was a male Chinese hamster I was after but ended up adopting my Russian dwarf! They will probably be individual characters and Chinese hamsters can be really fantastic, intelligent pets. My female was a little darling. x

I've had Beanie about 16 months and Waldo and Baker about 9 months and they are no more comfortable with me now than they were the day I brought them home. Beanie is easier to handle than the boys. They want to jump out of my hands and Beanie is pretty mellow. I think part of it is the # of critters I have. Lots of other critter smells in the room and I tend to pay more attention to the Syrians since they want and need to get out more. I think they just are not for everyone and I prefer easier to handle critters. It's ok though, I think they still have good homes.

That`s the main thing Esmy. You are their mum and caretaker and at the end of the day, they are happy doing what they want to do. Handling is nice but sometimes they just want to be left alone. x
