He's probably doing it when you're asleep I can never tell if Charlie's water bottle has gone down or not. Is it a reach for his water bottle? Just thinking, if it felt awkward for him he might not be using it - you could try putting a small dish of water out. Maybe just a bit in the top off a plastic milk bottle - that size is too small to fall into.

I agree it's probably best not to worry too much about a diagnosis, just take it one day at a time & see how little Ollie goes.
A very small bowl of water is a good idea, it is hard to know how much they drink & it's normally only a very small amount, if you give any soft/wet foods or veg they may drink less too so as long as he can get to his water ok I wouldn't worry too much about that either.

Because I'm unsure what Ollie is drinking I have been giving him small amounts of grape or cucumber also a little porridge. He is eating them so that's reassuring me a little

Hi LancashireLass, I'm so sorry about your little Ollie. It sounds like the two of you have had a lot to deal with over the past week... I'm glad he seems to have perked up a bit

Does the water bottle you use have any writing or markings on? Usually when I fill mine up I check where the water is up to (I usually try and fill it up to a certain line of text) so that I can visually check how much it has gone down A small milk bottle full of water or some cucumber sounds equally good though

Hi Ollie has had another great night he has had Ollie playtime and was quite active. I have changed his water this morning and marked a spot to see if he is drinking and he has had breakfast. My parents are staying with me at the moment and my mum spotted Ollie having a good drink yesterday whilst I was at work, I get an Ollie and Willow report every evening. I am really hoping that the vet has misdiagnosed Ollies tumor and that the medication I'm giving him twice a day is making him better.

I'm so glad to hear he's still doing well, fingers crossed he'll continue that way.

So shocked to read this thread about Ollie's suspected tumour.
How is he today?

Good news that Ollie seems so well! What is the medication he was given? Maybe he just swallowed a big fat spider Or does he still have a swollen tummy?

Hi I'm sorry for not posting any updates on Ollies progress, I've been watching him like a hawk and the past two nights he has not wanted to come out for Ollie playtime. I was determined to check him over tonight and tempted him out with a tiny piece of Strawberry and I'm afraid I have one very poorly hammy. His head and neck look too small for his body and his tummy is very swollen, his lovely big ears are flat to his head. He is eating and functioning in other ways of you get my meaning but he just wants to sleep all the time, he is such a sweet little thing and it's upsetting me seeing him this way, I hope he isn't suffering.
