How old is your hamster? Usually the teeth are yellow but when they become an adult at 6 months the teeth are white. Had he hurt his mouth to cause him stress?

Have you taken him to a vet? Maybe he needs something for pain relief. I believe it means a tooth is rotten if it's white so he probably has toothache. The tooth should fall out on its own but a Vet may want to do something about it if the hamster is in pain. Meanwhile, just feed him soft food, like baby food and scrambled egg so he can eat. If he is biting it sounds like he is either in pain and scared, or just not tame yet? For now you could try adding extra nesting material (torn up white toilet paper) and see if he builds a new nest or a bigger nest.

I'm not sure what else to suggest other than taking him to the vet - it does sound like he needs some help.

I agree with Serendipity, you need to make an appointment with the vet, hamster's do start of with yellow teeth but they should be white by 6 months of age.
Only a vet can tell you what's wrong and will prescribe the right medication if needed.
