Great, thanks cypher for clarifying that! It's no big deal for me to make up a new batch each time, just seemed like a lot of water in one go for a small animal but I think it's used for other animals like rabbits as well who would need more water.

She's drank so much of the water last night, must like the taste of it!

Poor iris, i hope she gets better, i'm sure she will.

I have read on another forum that a strawberry leaf is good to help with diarrhea/loose droppings.

I wish i could offer more help. I wish you the best of luck for her to be healthy soon!

Thankyou Winnie, i'm sure she will get better soon (I wasn't so sure when she was blocked up for two weeks!)

I just had to prise a quality street chocolate out of her mouth and ended up with a tooth in my thumb! She is getting too spoilt I reckon, thinking she can steal chocolate! haha

Ooh yes keep her away from the chocolates! Human chocolate can make hamsters very ill. Hammy chocolate drops aren't really chocolate at all (you probably know that, sorry). Sounds like she's feeling better though if she's being naughty lol.

Yeah, I've never known chocolate to be good for any animal lol. She literally was pulling it out of my hand - a proper tug of war! I was more worried about the foil wrap around it.

Definitely being naughty, and to think people were saying she was lovely..... haha!

Sounds like a similar situation when Bindle found a "dropped" minstral sweet on the sofa. I was able to retrieve it before she got her teeth into it, her excited squeaks and chattering gave her away. From hearing her and seeing the excitement, you wouldn't think that she was really poorly from her tumour and just a couple of weeks away from the Rainbow Bridge.

So pleased that Iris continues to make good progress.

Aww! Bless little Bindle. So excited she thought she was in for a treat I bet you miss her lots.

I miss my other hams lots too. Chester ended up escaping his cage in the night and ate ALL of his yoghurt easter Egg, he threw up all over my room! Found him in my wardrobe with cobwebs in his whiskers and sick all over his chest. Then when I emptied his pouches it was full of chocolate drops! Needless to say I keep all the treats in tight lidded pots away from the cage haha.

On a more relevant note, it seems that Iris might be getting over the diahorrea, things are looking a bit darker and more formed. Hopefully in a few days things will be right again

Absolutely, I miss Bindle lots, bgfloyd, there's not a day goes by without me thinking of her and remembering some part of her personality. We spent so much time together once her tumour developed, if I was at home, then she was out of her cage and on the sofa with me, often sleeping on the back of it whilst I worked. Those six weeks were very special.

My goodness, Charlie must have gone through many highs and lows that night; the excitement and joy of finding his Easter egg, followed by the misery of being sick and then being discovered in a very poor state....poor little Charlie.

That is really good news, Iris and you have really been on a roller coaster and lets hope the ride is coming to an end and the path ahead is smooth so Iris can finally get back to being 100% healthy.
