Right now I have my 3 hamsters who are all between 9mo-1yr, and the 2 new ones I got today. In the beginning, I never saw my male. It was probably 4-5 months before I actually really saw him being active but lately he's been waking up earlier. My 1 female was always super active and non stop in the wheel but now I don't see her as much. The 2nd female has always been "slower" and I don't see her a ton. Right now its 9:30pm and my male is out and 1 of the 2 new babies is out.
Before I had my baby we had the baby monitor and I set it up to watch the hamsters. If I ever woke up in the middle of the night (which was several times having to pee), I'd look at the monitor and most times they were all out running in wheels or running around. By the time I get up in the mornings they are asleep again unless I get up before 6am in which case I catch at least one of them still awake.

Glad Jocci is feeling better. Middle age brings some calmness
BC I love the idea of a baby monitor for the hams!

Archie's definitely more laid back since getting older!
