Thank you, he is a really big attention seeker, and he also does not enjoy staying in his cage for a long time, he likes to explore different places, and never wants yo go back into his cage, he also never gets worried about being in a new place, instead he likes to explore and sniff it. Maybe this why he wants to get out of the cage so much? Anyway thanks for all the help!

Keep doing what you are doing happy hamster until you get your Detolf. An unsettled hamster could act as if he/she was agitated/anxious/excitable for many reasons, some just because that`s their character, sometimes due to the environment they are in (cage). But also try and have a daily routine so the hamster settles and isn`t in and out at various times as this can pet their sleeping clock! x

I'd second the routine for your ham. If he knows he will get out and when he may settle more. Also, if he knows when it's time to go back there is no attention seeking that will change it he may give up (or try less hard). So find times that suit you and stick to it for a couple of weeks at least and see how it goes. He sounds like a lovely ham. xx
