Exclamation Bumble foot?!

I'm panicking slightly but I'm not sure, my hamster has these little lumps on his feet that at first I thought could be little "paw pads" like dogs have but then I wasn't sure, I don't have any wire/mesh, his wheel is flat and plastic, the bedding is clean, im so unsure! This was the best photo I could get from his wriggling around!

Quick note! He did manage to escape last night from climbing up my quilt that had fallen into his cage, could it be from something on my floor? Carpet? Dirt?

That's normal! This link has a (perhaps graphic!) picture of bumble foot, about halfway down the page Product Review Guide - Page 15 - Supplies & Accessories - Hamster Hideout Forum

Nothing to worry about. Bumblefoot is infection and difficult to treat. It`s usually seen in rats and mammals that are housed on wire floors. Here is an image just to compare:

It`s a sore thing for any small mammal but thankfully it can be avoided by making sure their floor space and shelving is solid and never mesh or wire. x
