No my room tends to stay the same temp through the day. And she sleeps in her igloo.

I'm glad to read you haven't found any more blood. I'm the same with houses. I have this one: Cosy Hamster Wooden Den | Free P+P on orders £29+ at zooplus! It has a large open door, and open bottom. I've drilled air holes in the sides too for ventilation.
