Nat, sometimes if there is something stuck in the pouch you will see the hamster behaving as if it`s a bit agitated and you will see the hamster pawing at that area a lot (using a paw to keep rubbing at it). So if Dolly isn`t doing that, chances are it`s something inside the pouch that`s not been pushed out yet, or something to keep an eye on just in case it is stuck and isn`t yet causing any issues. x

She doesn't seem to bother with it to he honest. She's just her normal self and doesn't seem to be bothered when I feel it either. I am just hoping it's just some stuck food and nothing else...

Today is vet day!
The mysterious lump has been disappearing and reappearing all week which makes me more inclined to think it's food. I want to get it checked anyway to put my mind at ease.
If it is, does anyone know if hams have a "favourite" pouch? And how long would they store it for at the most?
I'll update later on after the vet visit...

Just back from the vets! She was unbelievably well behaved, she just sat patiently in my hands while the vet examined her. He confirmed that it does feel like food and that it will do her no harm. If it doesn't appear to be bothering her, we can leave it. Otherwise he will do a GA and remove the food, which he advised against unless it's really causing her problems.
So now £22.50 lighter, my mind is at ease!

You done the right thing Nat, good on you. The money will resurface from somewhere! Quite a pricey check over though!

Good to hear it doesn't seem to be anything to worry about & She's OK, well worth the money just for peace of mind I think!
