Unhappy Worried First Time Mama!

Hi there!

I'm new to the hamster scene and I have two questions that I feel most confident asking here about. I recently got a pair of Robo's, and they're doing fine so far, except for a couple things.

1st, Django, my robo, came with a hole in his ear. This seems to be normal from from their mama's when they're young. However, it has been getting bigger in the past two days and that concerns me.

2nd, I was gong to put them in their wheels so I could clean the cage, but when I went to grab Django he took a dive into the water bowl. (They haven't figured out the bottle yet). I know hamsters shouldn't take baths because they can catch a chill and die, and since they are still very new I'm worried the added stress, accompanied with minor daily handling, will do him in. What should I do to help prevent that!

Here's a photo of Django after his little accidental rinse off, I tried to take a picture with this ear.
