My Ted E. is dying.

My beautiful Theodore Edward Bear is going to the Rainbow Bridge. He hasn't opened his eyes in 2 days and this morning he was falling over his own feet. He still wanted me to take him out and he spent time in his dish filling his pouches. I watched him go up the tube to his bedroom, but he's so unsteady that I am going to confine him to only his cage with no more tubes. I hate to take the other parts away from him but I'm afraid he'll either fall down one of the tubes or stop in the middle of a tube and not come out. I honestly can't see him making it another week. Ted E is a heart ham and, like the cowardly lion says in The Wizard of Oz, "I know I have a heart, because it's breaking".

Oh DrK, I am so so sorry to hear this. This truly is heartbreaking. Ted E is a beautiful boy and has had a beautiful life. You have given him the greatest care and have payed attention to his every need. He will never really be gone, because he will live on in the memories you keep of him. Always think of the good times, because that's what you have to remember. The boy he was and who he always will be.
