Buttery Pouches!!!

Okay, Daisy, my chubby fluff gourmand has decided last night to quickly snaffle up and pouch (not lap, chew or eat) a thumb nail size piece of butter!!!!

Its actual butter (fresh pure milk and little salt) and not silly fake stuff.
I'm worried now, because I can still feel squishy bits in her right cheek pouch this evening 24 hours later.
It doesn't seem like she has de-pouched it along with her other snaffled up treasures.......
Could it cause an impaction and subsequent infection like with peanut butter and other squishy stuff?
Or will it melt into oils from her body heat and just kinda ooze out?
How can I get it out if the butter has impacted!!!!!

I'm sure butter isn't the only thing she has pouched since yesterday

Also their body temperature is the same as ours, so a pat of butter wouldn't be solid this long. Even if you put a pat of butter on your head (pouches are fur lined) chances are it would melt down pretty soon into oily goo ....

Gross Daisy! I wouldnt worry, peanut butter doesn't melt really, it stays sticky unless it's at a high enough temp which is why it's a problem. Butter shouldn't be an issue apart from what's its going to do to her waistline!

I'm just panicking about her greedy silliness.....I've just heard horror stories about sticky stuff in hammy pouches.....
And yes, Skeever, there was some other treasures pouched and then gobbed out last nigh onto her stash: a spider sans legs.

I say Daisy has been getting a steady dribble of oily fatty deliciousness from this glob all night and all through the day.......probably why she did it!!!!
As it going to her waist line Shannonmcn, I think it will be going to her butt line more likely : )
I can't really discern an exact waist line on my chunky bear : )
