Default Allergied up russian?

I have switched from wood shavings+carefresh to megazorb a while back now but since i had some of my old bedding left i use to mix it up with the megazorb until now. I never had any issue with the megazorb exept I find it a bit dusty and it gives me the hay fever something rotten when I handle it. They all seem to like it, for the exception of snowdrop who has been very vocal, appears to have irritated eyes and have gone suddenly very moody since I use 100% megazorb for the litter.

I have then been looking on zooplus and they recommend hemp bedding for allergies, but they also have linen bedding but it's more expensive. Is the hemp bedding sold on zooplus any good for a russian?

Hams can be allergic to hemp too, I think carefresh and the other paper based beddings tend to be most hypoallergenic from what I remember.

I think generally hemp is hemp and can be great for hams but its not everyones cup of tea really (just like every other bedding out there lol)

I found megazorb very dusty & it really set off my asthma so I'm not really surprised one of your hams has a bit of a problem with it tbh.
I found hemp really good although as Kyrill says it's still possible your ham could have a problem with it. I did try the linen bedding from zooplus once but really didn't like it, it felt quite sharp to me so I never actually used it.
I'd recommend Fitch, recycled paper, less likely to be any allergy problems, hardly any dust at all & it's really economical.

My wife thinks i should stick to wood shavings as we never had any trouble with it, although i find the snowflake and p@h brands to smell piney. though my first hamsters lived up to 3 years with these wood shavings.

I buy Bob Martin's Wood Shavings and my hamsters Archie and Twinkle prefer it to the pet smart shavings which were quite hard. Bob Martin's shavings are bit softer and I very rarely sneeze now,

A few people's hams have had eye problems with wood shavings so maybe not the best thing for Snowdrop if she's sensitive.
